Since President Obama came out in favor of gay marriage a couple of weeks ago, there’s been a noticeable shift in black Americans’ opinion on gay marriage. A new Washington Post-ABC survey found that 59 percent of black people now say they support same-sex marriage—an 18 point jump since Obama’s announcement.

The Palace of Illusions
Stopping by real quick for a book recommendation. 
Such a great book. I am a little biased because I LOVE Hindu mythology (mythology of any kind, really) but this is the best book I have read in ages. I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting; that’s a first after many years. The book is a look at Draupadi’s life. It is written from her POV and starts from her birth, ending at her death. I actually cried a lot towards the end (another first in many years). If tales of great war told from a female POV interest you at all, go read this book. And not just any female! It is interesting to read about a strong female character stuck in that era. Oh just go read it!
